Dry Marina Slips for Sale or for Rent

Dry marina slips for sale or rent for the 2017 season. If you are interested in boat ownership at Sakonnet and are tired of waiting for a mooring to become available or cannot obtain a wet slip we have dry marina slips available. Boats are limited to 24' in length and must be stored on a trailer. We offer unlimited launching/hauling, temporary berthing prior to and after cruising, and parking for the season which runs from May 1 to October 31.

SPC Fractional Partnership

Read what original member Stephen Skinner writes about his experience with our fractional boats, "The SPC Fractional program has been a worry free alternative to boat ownership that avails me a thoroughly maintained Rabalo 247 whenever I have wanted to use it. As a cruising sailboat owner, I particularly enjoy having the Rabalo be 'ride ready' when I get to the dock. All I have to do is load my passengers and gear and I'm off. And likewise, upon return, all I have to do is bring her to the float and the dock attendants take over, allowing me and my guests to just walk up the gangway to use the SPC. There is no advance prep work before or cleaning after….the staff takes care of all that and my time is spent on enjoying the water."

If you are interested in details regarding our sensible and hassle free alternative to boat ownership, please contact Christopher Brady:

SPC Rowing Shell

The SPC owns a rowing shell that has seen little use by our members. SPC members Don Libbey and Ed Schmults, both of whom are rowing pros, will provide lessons to our members who are unfamiliar with this sport.  Ed is generally available in the morning which is the best time to row.

SPC Kayaks, Rowing Skiffs, and Paddleboards

We have five kayaks, two rowing skiffs, and four paddleboards for your enjoyment. The best time to go kayaking is in the morning when it’s calm. There is nothing more breathtaking than an early morning cruise to the islands and back. Get a group together and plan your cruise. The rowing skiffs are a wonderful way to get on the water with young children in our protected harbor to teach them how to row.

Please remember that you must wear a life preserver and you need to tell us where you are going and how long you will be out. These restrictions are for your safety. You need to stay hydrated so be sure to take along water.

Cruising/Sailing Opportunities

We would like to encourage our members who own boats to invite other members who do not own boats out for a day of sailing, racing or cruising. The idea behind this is to get more of our members to enjoy and experience boating and all it has to offer.
